ABOUT US

The Medora Timberjacks were established in 2021 when Team Market Owner Larry Morrin decided to bring basketball entertainment to a community in need of a spark. The Timberjacks are excited to bring the TBL to Jackson County.

Mission:

The Medora Timberjacks aim to be leaders and role models in the community. We strive to bring the community together by providing clean, exciting entertainment.

 Larry Morin – Team Market Owner

Larry is the CEO of Land of Indiana, a logging company located in Bedford, Indiana. He has had a love for basketball and was a well known Varsity basketball coach in Indiana for many years.

Joey Sichting – General Manager

Joey Sichting was born and raised in Martinsville, Indiana and currently resides in Memphis, TN. He attended Indiana University and coached basketball at Eastern Green High School as JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach.

In 1987 he joined FedEx in Bloomington, IN and retired in 2013 as Managing Director of International Sales earning numerous awards including  induction into the FedEx Sales Hall of Fame. Joey is a member of Grace St. Lukes Episcapol Church serving as an usher and audio/visual assistant.

Joey also spent 6 years on the Blues Foundation Board of Directors including the Executive Committee. This is Joey’s second year as General Manager of the Timberjacks.

Mark Morin – Head Coach

Mark was born and raised in Martinsville, Indiana. He excelled in his basketball career and received a full scholarship to Butler University. He continued to play in leagues and won several championships. He is currently the Medora Varsity boys basketball coach and is the Vice President at Land of Indiana.

Leah Young – Director of Basketball Operations

This is Leahs 3rd year with the Timberjcaks and loves what the organizations has built and done for the entire community. Leah was born and raised in Medora. She is currently the JR/SR high science teacher and Varsity Volleyball coach. She played both volleyball and basketball for Medora High School where she was offered college scholarships in both sports.

Leah made history as the first girl at Medora High School to score 1,000 points and ended her career with 1132 points still holding the girls record for MHS. She played college basketball for Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Illinois. She continued her education at Indiana Wesleyan University-Associates of Business and Purdue Global University-Bachelors of Health Science.

Braxton McCory – Assistant

Braxton was born and raised in Medora. He is currently a Senior at Medora High School and played Varsity basketball for 4 years. He plans on playing basketball at the next level while majoring in Sports Management.

Braxton is a big fan of all sports and has always been involved with the Medora Timberjacks. He helps with scouting, sponsorships, recruiting and more. He plans to be a part of the Timberjacks for many years to come.

Bryce Hatton – Announcer

Bryce is in his second year announcing for the Timberjacks and glad to have joined such an amazing community. Bryce is appreciative the Timberjacks took a chance on him as it was his first announcing job. Since then he has done announcing and commentary for many other teams including Salem Lions Basketball, IU Southeast Baseball, the Indiana Pacers and the Trinity Cougars. Byrce is a junior studying communications at IU Southeast.
